2:7a But show loving devotion to the sons of Barzillai the Gileadite,

“You (sing) should be kind/loyal to the sons/children of Barzillai from Gilead.
-or-
“However, reward (sing) the family of Barzillai from Gilead ⌊region/province⌋.

2:7b and let them be among those who eat at your table,

Include (sing) them among those who eat food from your table/kitchen,
-or-
Provide (sing) food for them from your own stores/supply.

2:7c because they stood by me when I fled from your brother Absalom.

for they were kind/loyal to me when I had to run away from your half-brother Absalom.
-or-
I had to flee/leave ⌊Jerusalem⌋ to escape from your ⌊older⌋ brother Absalom, but that family supported/helped me.
