SIL Translator’s Notes on 1 Kings 22:24

22:24a Then Zedekiah son of Chenaanah went up, struck Micaiah in the face,

Zedekiah the son of Kenaanah walked up/close to Micaiah. He struck him/Micaiah on the face/cheek/jaw.
-or-
Then Kenaanah’s son Zedekiah approached Micaiah and slapped his face.
-or-
One of the other prophets was⌋ Zedekiah the son of Kenaanah. He came over and hit Micaiah on the face.

22:24b and demanded, “Which way did the Spirit of the LORD go when He departed from me to speak with you?”

Then he asked him, “How did that spirit of Yahweh move from me to speak to you?”
-or-
He/Zedekiah asked/⌊mocked⌋, “Did that spirit from Yahweh leave me so it could speak to you ⌊instead⌋ ?”
-or-
He mocked Micaiah and said that the ⌊lying/deceiving⌋ spirit of Yahweh had apparently left him and gone to speak to Micaiah instead.
