1:39a Zadok the priest took the horn of oil from the tabernacle and anointed Solomon.

The priest Zadok had taken the horn containing ⌊olive⌋ oil from ⌊God’s⌋ tent. ⌊Now⌋ he used it to anoint Solomon ⌊as king⌋.

Zadok the priest brought with him from the holy tent the ⌊ram’s⌋ horn that contained ⌊sacred⌋ oil. He poured the oil on Solomon ⌊to make him king⌋.

1:39b Then they blew the ram’s horn, and all the people proclaimed, “Long live King Solomon!”

After this, they blew the horns and everyone called out, “Live a long life, King Solomon!”

The trumpets/horns blew and the whole crowd began to shout, “May King Solomon live/⌊reign⌋ ⌊forever⌋ !”
