8:40a The sons of Ulam were mighty men of valor, archers,

Ulam’s sons were strong/virtuous fighters who were skilled in using bows ⌊and arrows⌋ .

Ulam was the father of brave soldiers. ⌊They were expert/trained⌋ archers.

8:40b and they had many sons and grandsons—150 in all.

All Ulam’s sons and grandsons numbered 150 men.

They had one-hundred and fifty (150) sons and grandsons.

8:40c All these were the descendants of Benjamin.

Israel’s/Jacob’s son⌋ Benjamin was the ancestor of all these clans.

These are the people who lived in the towns of Geba and Moab and Ono and Lod and Aijalon and Jerusalem and Gibeon.⌋ They were descendants of Benjamin.
