David, the king ⌊of Israel,⌋ spoke to all the people ⌊of Israel who were gathered there⌋ . He said,
29:1b “My son Solomon, the one whom God has chosen, is young and inexperienced.
“God has chosen my son Solomon ⌊to be the next king⌋ . But he is young and does not have much experience.

“My son Solomon is young and weak. However, God has chosen him ⌊to be the king after me⌋ .
29:1c The task is great because this palace is not for man, but for the LORD God.
His task ⌊is to build the temple⌋ . It is an important job because God’s temple is not for people but for Yahweh.
-or-
⌊Although he is weak/young and⌋ the task is great/big, ⌊he will build⌋ the house of Yahweh. This beautiful house will be for God himself, not just for people.
-or-
