26:30a From the Hebronites, Hashabiah and his relatives, 1,700 capable men,

Hashabiah and his relatives were from the clan of Hebron. There were seventeen hundred of them who were skilled workers.

There was a descendant of Hebron named Hashabiah. There were one thousand seven hundred (1,700) capable workers from his clan.

26:30b had charge of the affairs of Israel west of the Jordan for all the work of the LORD and for the service of the king.

King David⌋ appointed/chose them to manage all the work west of the Jordan ⌊River⌋ in Israel. They served both Yahweh and the king.

They led/managed/supervised the temple and government work throughout Israel on the west side of the Jordan ⌊River⌋ .

26:30a–b (combined)

Hashabiah from the Hebron clan and 1,700 of his skilled relatives were the officials in charge of all religious and government business in the Israelite territories west of the Jordan River. (Contemporary English Version)
