22:6a Then David called for his son Solomon

David sent someone to bring his son Solomon ⌊to him⌋ .

⌊When David was old,⌋ he had his son Solomon come to him.

22:6b and instructed him to build a house for the LORD, the God of Israel.

He/David commanded Solomon to build a Temple for Yahweh, the God of Israel.
