He then said to the whole assembly of Israel, “We neglected God’s Holy Box while Saul was king. ⌊I think⌋ we should bring it back ⌊to its place of honor⌋ . What do you think? Do you think this ⌊idea⌋ is from Yahweh our God? If you agree ⌊that it is a good idea,⌋ lets invite everyone else, so we can bring God’s Holy Box back together. Lets send a message to all our tribes everywhere in the land. We should also invite the priests and Levites, who live in their own towns with their pastures. Everyone should come.”

Then he talked with all the leaders of Israel. He said ⌊that he would like to⌋ bring the Sacred Chest back to ⌊its place of honor⌋ . It had been neglected during Saul’s time. ⌊David asked the leaders⌋ if they thought it a good idea. Might it be the will of Israel’s God? If the leaders agreed, David and the leaders would then send a message to their relatives in all the regions of Israel. They should also ask the priests and the Levites in the towns where they lived. They should ask all those people to come ⌊and join the process of bringing back the Sacred Chest⌋ .
