13:2a And he said to the whole assembly of Israel,

Then he asked the other Israelite leaders to come ⌊meet him⌋ . He said to all of them,

13:2b “If it seems good to you, and if this is of the LORD our God,

“Tell me now if you think it is a good idea ⌊to bring back God’s Holy Box. Do you think⌋ it might be the will of Yahweh our God. If you agree ⌊with me, then⌋

what they thought ⌊about bringing back the Sacred Chest⌋ . Could this idea be from Yahweh, Israel’s God? “If so,

13:2c let us send word far and wide to the rest of our brothers

we should send a message to our relatives

⌊David said,⌋ “I think that we should send a message to all the other Israelites

13:2d in all the land of Israel,

in all the regions of Israel.

in every corner of the land.

13:2e and also to the priests and Levites

We should also send this message to the priests and Levites

That should include the priests and the Levites (EEB)

13:2f in their cities and pasturelands,

who live in their towns and on their land.
-or-
who live among our tribes in their towns and the fields near those towns.

13:2g so that they may join us.

Lets invite them too.

We should tell them to assemble here with us.
