11:12a Then Jephthah sent messengers to the king of the Ammonites, saying,

Then Jephthah sent men to the king of Ammon to ask him,

11:12b “What do you have against me that you have come to fight against my land?”

“Why have you come to fight my people? What have we done to hurt you?”
