11:11a So Jephthah went with the elders of Gilead,

So Jephthah went back with them to Gilead.

So Jephthah went with them back to the Gilead region,

11:11b and the people made him their leader and commander.

The people appointed him to be their leader and the commander of their army.

and the people made him their chief and the leader of their army.

11:11c And Jephthah repeated all his terms in the presence of the LORD at Mizpah.

Then he spoke to the people at a ceremony before Yahweh in Mizpah. He repeated to them all the words ⌊that he had discussed with the elders⌋ .

In the town of Mizpah, Jephthah told the people about the agreement he had made ⌊with the elders⌋ . He did this in front of Yahweh.
