5:4a O LORD, when You went out from Seir,

O Yahweh, when you (sing.) came out of Mount Seir ⌊the earth quaked⌋ .

5:4b when You marched from the land of Edom,

When you walked out of the fields of Edom

You went forth from the land of Edom.

5:4c the earth trembled,

the earth shook.

5:4d the heavens poured out rain, and the clouds poured down water.

The sky turned to water. The clouds poured out a great rain.
