21:12a this is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says:

For this reason, Yahweh, Israel’s God, says,

Because of that, ⌊here is what⌋ Yahweh, the God of Israel, says,

21:12b ‘Behold, I am bringing such calamity upon Jerusalem and Judah

‘I am about to bring/send evil on Jerusalem and on ⌊the whole land of⌋ Judah.

-or-

‘I am going to make a terrible/evil thing happen in ⌊the city of⌋ Jerusalem and in ⌊the whole region of⌋ Judah.

21:12c that the news will reverberate in the ears of all who hear it.

⌊It will be so bad⌋ that everyone who hears about it will be horrified.

It will shock everyone who hears about it.
