14:14a He took all the gold and silver

Then King Jehoash ⌊and his men⌋ carried off/away all the gold and silver ⌊from Yahweh’s house⌋ .

Jehoash ⌊and his soldiers⌋ took/stole all the gold and silver

14:14b and all the articles found in the house of the LORD

⌊They also⌋ ⌊seized/grabbed⌋ everything valuable that they could find in Yahweh’s house

-or-

as well as all the sacred articles that were in the temple of Yahweh.

14:14c and in the treasuries of the royal palace,

and in the treasure rooms of the ⌊great⌋ house of the king.

-or-

⌊They also took/stole all⌋ the valuables/treasures found in the king’s palace.

14:14d as well as some hostages.

He/Jehoash also captured some people ⌊from the city⌋ as/for hostages.

Then they seized some ⌊of the royal/important people of Judah⌋ as a pledge/guarantee.

14:14e Then he returned to Samaria.

Then he went back to Samaria ⌊with them⌋ .

Then they went back to ⌊the city of⌋ Samaria.
