13:2a And he did evil in the sight of the LORD

He/Jehoahaz did things that were wicked in the sight of Yahweh.

-or-

The things that he/Jehoahaz did displeased Yahweh.

-or-

Yahweh saw that the things Jehoahaz did were evil.

13:2b and followed the sins that Jeroboam son of Nebat

He/Jehoahaz imitated the evil things that Nebat’s son Jeroboam had done ⌊when he was king⌋ .

-or-

He/Jehoahaz sinned in the same way that ⌊King⌋ Jeroboam son of Nebat had sinned ⌊long before⌋ .

13:2c had caused Israel to commit;

⌊King⌋ Jeroboam had encouraged ⌊the people of⌋ Israel to do these evil things.

-or-

Jeroboam had led/caused Israel’s people to sin,

13:2d he did not turn away from them.

Jehoahaz refused to act differently.

-or-

and Jehoahaz did not stop acting in this ⌊sinful/evil⌋ way.
