SIL Translator’s Notes on 2 Kings 13:3

13:3a So the anger of the LORD burned against Israel,

So Yahweh became very angry with Israel.

Yahweh was furious with ⌊the people of⌋ Israel.

13:3b and He delivered them continually into the hands of Hazael king of Aram

For some/many years he put them under the control of King Hazael of Aram

-or-

So Yahweh let Aram’s/Syria’s king, Hazael, defeat/oppress them for a long time.

13:3c and his son Ben-hadad.

and ⌊then⌋ under ⌊the control of⌋ Hazael’s son, Ben-Hadad.

-or-

⌊Yahweh let⌋ Hazael’s son Ben-Hadad ⌊defeat/oppress them⌋ too.
