11:20a and all the people of the land rejoiced.

Then all the crowd of people celebrated,

Everyone was very happy.

11:20b And the city was quiet,

and after that Jerusalem was quiet

The city of Jerusalem became peaceful

11:20c because Athaliah had been put to the sword at the royal palace.

because Athaliah had been put to death by the sword at the palace.
