5:11a But Naaman went away angry, saying,
But Naaman became angry and left. He said,

But Naaman was furious. He drove away ⌊from Elisha’s house,⌋ exclaiming,
5:11b “I thought that he would surely come out,
“I thought that for me he would certainly come out ⌊of his house⌋ !

“I really expected that the prophet would come out ⌊to talk⌋ to me!
5:11c stand and call on the name of the LORD his God,
I thought he would stand ⌊here⌋ and call on the name of Yahweh his God!
-or-
⌊I expected him to⌋ stand ⌊before me⌋ and pray to Yahweh his God!
5:11d and wave his hand over the spot
⌊I thought that⌋ he would wave his hand over the place ⌊of my leprosy⌋
-or-
⌊I hoped that⌋ he would wave his hand over the diseased skin
5:11e to cure my leprosy.
and heal my disease.

and make me well again!
