5:10a Then Elisha sent him a messenger, who said,

Elisha sent one of his servants to say to him,

Elisha sent someone to Naaman with this message,

5:10b “Go and wash yourself seven times in the Jordan,

“Go and wash seven times in the ⌊River⌋ Jordan.

-or-

“Go to the Jordan ⌊River⌋ and wash yourself in it seven times.

5:10c and your flesh will be restored,

Then your (sing.) skin will become healthy again,

-or-

⌊When you do,⌋ your (sing.) skin will become as it was at the first/beginning.

5:10d and you will be clean.”

and you (sing.) will become ⌊ritually⌋ clean/pure.”

-or-

You (sing.) will no longer have the impure/defiling ⌊skin disease⌋ .”

5:10a-d

Elisha sent Naaman a messenger to tell him to go to the Jordan River. He told Naaman that he would become pure and his skin would become healthy if he washed himself in the river seven times.
