31:21a He was diligent in every work that he began in the service of the house of God,

All that Hezekiah did in service to God’s temple,
-or-
King Hezekiah managed the service in God’s house

31:21b and in the law and the commandments,

and the manner in which he obeyed his laws and instructions,
-or-
in a way that respected Yahweh’s teachings and all that he had commanded ⌊Israel⌋ to do.

31:21c in order to seek his God.

he did honestly and sincerely before his God.
-or-
He obeyed his God with an honest heart.

31:21d And so he prospered.

He was successful in all he did.
-or-
As a result, he was very successful.
