22:11a But Jehoshabeath daughter of King Jehoram took Joash son of Ahaziah

But Jehosheba, the daughter of King Jehoram, took Joash, the son of Ahaziah

However, Jehosheba who was a daughter of King Jehoram secretly took ⌊the baby⌋ Joash, the son of King Ahaziah.

22:11b and stole him away from among the sons of the king

away from the other sons

She rescued him away from the king’s other children

22:11c who were being murdered,

who were about to be executed.

whom Athaliah was about to kill.

22:11d and she put him and his nurse in a bedroom.

She put Joash in a bedroom in the house with his nurse.

22:11e Because Jehoshabeath, the daughter of King Jehoram

Jehosheba was the daughter of King Jehoram

In this way, Jehosheba,

and the wife of the priest Jehoiada, and Ahaziah’s sister.

She hid the child from Athaliah
