14:12a So the LORD struck down the Cushites before Asa and Judah,

So Yahweh defeated the Cush people before Asa and Judah.

Yahweh defeated the army of Ethiopia when King Asa and the soldiers from the clan of Judah attacked them.

14:12b and the Cushites fled.

The Cush people ran away,

The Ethiopia people ran away.
