Section 6:12-42

King Solomon dedicated the temple to Yahweh

6:12a Then Solomon stood before the altar of the LORD

Then Solomon stood in front of the altar of Yahweh.

Then King Solomon ⌊moved close to⌋ the platform ⌊where they make sacrifices⌋ to Yahweh. He stood facing the platform

6:12b in front of the whole assembly of Israel

He was in the presence of all the people of Israel who had gathered there.

where all the Israelites could see him.

6:12c and spread out his hands.

He lifted up his hands ⌊in prayer⌋.

He raised his hands ⌊toward heaven⌋.
