6:13a Now Solomon had made a bronze platform

Before this, Solomon had made a platform of bronze.

6:13b five cubits long, five cubits wide, and three cubits high,

The platform was five cubits long and five cubits wide and three cubits high.

It was about two and a half (2 1/2) meters long by two and a half (2 1/2) meters wide. It was about one and a half (1 1/2) meters high.

6:13c and had placed it in the middle of the courtyard.

He put it in the center of the outer courtyard ⌊of the house of Yahweh⌋.

King Solomon set up the platform in the middle of the outer court.

6:13d He stood on it,

Solomon stood on the platform

He stood on top of it

6:13e knelt down before the whole assembly of Israel,

and knelt down in the presence of all the people of Israel who had gathered there.

and knelt where all the people of Israel could see him.

6:13f spread out his hands toward heaven,

Then he lifted up his hands toward heaven.

Then he stretched his hands toward heaven ⌊in prayer⌋.
