27:28a Baal-hanan the Gederite was in charge of the olive and sycamore trees in the foothills.

Baal-hanan came from Geder village. He supervised ⌊the workers who tended⌋ the olive trees and fig trees which grew in the lower hill country ⌊of Judah⌋ .

Baal-hanan was responsible for the trees ⌊in the Shephelah area⌋ that grew olives and figs. Baal-hanan was from Geder ⌊village⌋ .

27:28b Joash was in charge of the stores of olive oil.

Joash supervised the supplies of olive oil ⌊and their storehouses⌋ .
