26:28a Everything that had been dedicated by Samuel the seer, Saul son of Kish,

Samuel the prophet and Kish’s son, who was King Saul, also gave valuable articles.

26:28b Abner son of Ner, and Joab son of Zeruiah,

Ner’s son Abner and Zeruiah’s son Joab were military commanders who also gave valuable articles.

They also purified the gifts from Abner and Joab ⌊for the house of Yahweh⌋ . Abner’s father was Ner and Joab’s mother was Zeruiah.

26:28c along with everything else that was dedicated, was under the care of Shelomith and his brothers.

All these holy/sacred articles that people offered ⌊for temple use⌋ were managed by Shelomith and his relatives.

Shelomith and his family were in charge of everything that had been dedicated ⌊to Yahweh⌋ . This included the gifts brought by the prophet Samuel, by King Saul, by Abner son of Ner, and by Joab son of Zeruiah.
