Verses 23-33 are parallel to Psa 96.1b-13a.

Sing to the LORD, all the earth!: David tells all the people on earth to sing to the LORD. In many languages all the earth may be expressed as “all the people in the world.”

Tell of his salvation from day to day: The Hebrew verb translated Tell means “to bring news,” or simply “to tell.” Here it is to be understood in the sense of public proclamation and translated “announce” (Contemporary English Version, New American Bible, and most French versions) or “proclaim” (Good News Translation, Revised English Bible, New Jerusalem Bible, Traduction œcuménique de la Bible). The phrase his salvation may need to be translated as a verbal expression as in Good News Translation. Good News Translation interprets these words as a reference to Israel’s own experience: “he has saved us.” But this phrase may refer to God’s power to save (New Living Translation “he saves”), his nature as Savior, or else his future victory over all the enemies of Israel. Other translations include “his victory” (Revised English Bible, New Jewish Publication Society’s Tanakh, Klein) and “God saves us” (Parole de Vie). His salvation is parallel with “his glory” and “his marvelous works” in the next verse. All three expressions describe God as a God who manifests himself by means of his mighty deeds on behalf of his people. The literal rendering from day to day may be better translated “day after day” (New Jerusalem Bible, New American Bible, New Jewish Publication Society’s Tanakh), “Each day” (New Living Translation), or “every day” (Good News Translation, NET Bible).
