There is for all mankind one entrance into life, and a common departure: The reference, of course, is to birth and death. This line sums up the section, and an effort should be made to express it in a striking and memorable manner. Vílchez has “Identical is the entrance all make into life, and equal is their exit.” Good News Translation is good here, or translators may say “all of us are born in the same way and leave this life the same way.”
