Or as, when an arrow is shot at a target, the air, thus divided, comes together at once: Again, Good News Translation expresses this as a statement, and does well. It is a good model.

So that no one knows its pathway: If translators want to end the verse as suggested above, with the same clause used to end verses 10 and 11, they could say “and there is nothing to show it was ever there.”
