Tobias called Raphael and said to him: Raphael appears here for the first time since chasing the demon to Egypt in 8.3. This sentence may also be expressed as “Tobias called for Raphael to come to him and said.”
For Brother see 6.7.
Camels are unknown in many parts of the world, so some translators will have to use a borrowed word and explain it in a glossary. It will also be helpful to include a picture of this one-humped variety of the camel.
Go to the home of Gabael: Good News Translation moves mention of “Gabael’s house” to Tobias’s first sentence. This immediately establishes why he should go to Rages. Good News Translation of course reminds the reader that Rages is the name of a town.
The bond: See the note on 5.3.
