Their bodies were buried in peace: Good News Translation “Their bodies were laid to rest” is another way of saying this in English. We could also say “Their bodies are resting in peace.” Oddly, this statement does not apply to the first famous man named below, in verse 16.
And their name lives to all generations: Good News Translation is good here. Instead of “reputations,” we could say “fame.” Another model for this line is “and people will honor them forever.”
