And of rejecting the appeal of a kinsman: This refers to saying “no” when a relative asks something of you. In languages that prefer direct speech, we may say “of saying ‘No!’ when a relative requests [or, asks you for] something.”

Of taking away some one’s portion or gift may be rendered “of taking something from someone that was given to him.”

And of gazing at another man’s wife: Once again Good News Translation uses “staring.” Here it translates a different Greek word from that in verse 20. This line could be translated “of paying too much [or, inappropriate] attention to another man’s wife.”
