Translation commentary on Matthew 28:6

Has risen: see “has been raised” of 14.2. The Greek is actually passive (see Good News Translation), so that “has been raised” or “God has raised him” would be better than has risen.

As he said is not found in the Marcan parallel (16.6), but Mark later attaches it to the promise that Jesus will go ahead of his disciples to Galilee (16.7). Often translators have “as he said would happen” or possibly “as he said he would” (Barclay).

Come, see is somewhat stronger than “see” of Mark (16.6).
