18:30a The Danites set up idols for themselves,

The people of Dan installed the carved statue ⌊for worship⌋ .

The clan of Dan put the idol carved ⌊from wood⌋ there ⌊to worship it⌋ .

18:30b and Jonathan son of Gershom, the son of Moses, and his sons were priests for the tribe of Dan

Jonathan son of Gershom the son of Moses and his sons were their priests.

They had Gershom’s son Jonathan the grandson of Moses as their sacrificer. He and his sons did this

18:30c until the day of the captivity of the land.
