The LORD: Most translations would probably prefer a pronoun here, since in verse 2 he was identified as “The LORD your God.” Die Bibel im heutigen Deutsch places verses 2-3 together in order to avoid some of the overlap.

Has brought it about, and has done as he said: Good News Translation combines these two ideas; but translators can also say, for example, “has caused all this to happen, just as he said he would.”

Because you sinned … and did not obey his voice, this thing has come upon you: Good News Translation changes the order of the three clauses and at the same time indicates that you in Hebrew is plural by translating “your people.” Also, his voice, which in Hebrew is a way of using a part of the person to refer to the entire person, is translated as a pronoun in Good News Translation with “disobeyed him.” See 3.13. This thing has come upon you; that is, “this has happened to you.”
