And in Jerusalem: See verse 18.
The clause until the day when I give attention to them is rendered “until the day I come for them” by New International Version. However, “until I decide to do something about them” or “until I am ready to bring them back” is slightly closer to the meaning.
For a possible restructuring of verses 19-22, compare Good News Translation of these verses with Die Bibel im heutigen Deutsch, which has:
• 19-21 They are still here: the two bronze columns, the large tank, the carts, and some of the other treasures; Nebuchadnezzar, the king of Babylonia, did not take them with him when he led away from Judah and Jerusalem to Babylonia Jehoiachin, the son of Jehoiakim, the king of Judah, with all the leading people. But the Lord of the entire world, the God of Israel, says: “The treasures, which remain in the temple, in the king’s palace and in Jerusalem, 22 will yet be taken off to Babylonia; and there they will remain, until I myself see to it that they are brought back.”
