For I have no pleasure in the death of any one: This clause repeats the message of verse 23, although here it is a statement, not a rhetorical question. The Hebrew particle ki rendered For can be a logical connector here, but it is more likely an emphatic particle, which may be rendered “Surely” or “Truly” (Bible en français courant). Many translations omit it (so Good News Translation, Contemporary English Version, New Living Translation, New Century Version, Revised English Bible, Jerusalem Bible/New Jerusalem Bible, Moffatt, Die Bibel im heutigen Deutsch). I have no pleasure in the death of any one may be rendered “I do not want anyone to die” (Good News Translation) or “It does not make me happy for anyone to die.” By referring to any one, this statement is broader than the one in verse 23.

So turn, and live: Turn renders the same Hebrew verb used in verse 30 (see the comments there). Here it may be rendered “Turn away from your sins” (Good News Translation) or “Repent” (New International Version, New Jerusalem Bible, New Jewish Publication Society’s Tanakh). If the people do that, they will live. And live may be translated “so that you may live” (similarly New Century Version).
