9:8a Surely the eyes of the Lord GOD are on the sinful kingdom,

Surely I, the Lord Yahweh, am keeping an eye on you people ⌊of Israel⌋ , a sinful country.

Truly, I Yahweh, your (plur.) Lord, am watching you sinful people ⌊Israel⌋ .

9:8b and I will destroy it from the face of the earth.

I will destroy you (plur.) ⌊and wipe you out⌋ from the surface of the earth.

I will kill you ⌊and remove you⌋ from the earth.

9:8c Yet I will not utterly destroy the house of Jacob,”

But I will not kill all of the descendants of Israel.

However, I will not totally wipe out the people of Israel,”

9:8d declares the LORD.

I, Yahweh have spoken.”
