Translation commentary on 2 Maccabees 10:9

Such then was the end of Antiochus, who was called Epiphanes: This verse fits better at the end of chapter 9, so it is unexpected here. It is best to translate it in such a way that it provides a good transition to the new subject matter. Good News Bible shows one way to do this. Another good model is provided by Revised English Bible: “We have already given an account of the end of Antiochus called Epiphanes.”
