20:11a So Isaiah the prophet called out to the LORD,

Then the prophet Isaiah prayed to Yahweh,

20:11b and He brought the shadow back the ten steps

and Yahweh caused the shadow to move backward. It moved back up the ten steps

Then/So Yahweh made the shadow shorten/shrink by/up the ten steps

20:11c it had descended on the stairway of Ahaz.

that it had ⌊already⌋ reached/covered on its way down the stairs ⌊built by⌋ Ahaz.

to which it had extended/moved down the stairway that ⌊King⌋ Ahaz ⌊had caused to be built⌋ .
