And after seven days, as I lay on the grass, my heart was troubled again as it was before: Compare 2 Esd 3.1; 6.36-37. My heart was troubled may be rendered simply “I was worried.” An alternative model for this verse is:

• Seven days later, as I was lying on the grass, I grew worried as I had before.
