Therefore my judgment is now drawing near: Once again God appears to be the speaker. The writer often makes no distinction between God and the angel who delivers God’s message. Good News Bible may be followed as a model for this verse. Other possible ones are:

• So it will not be long before I call them to judgment.

• So the time when I will judge them is coming soon.
