The seventh order, which is greater than all that have been mentioned: Compare verse 87.

Because they shall rejoice with boldness, and shall be confident without confusion, and shall be glad without fear: Compare Isa 35.10; 51.11. Rejoice with boldness may be rendered “rejoice [or, celebrate] without fear.” Confident without confusion may be translated “confident without any shame.”

For they hasten to behold the face of him whom they served in life and from whom they are to receive their reward when glorified: The righteous, as their highest reward, see God without fear (compare Exo 33.20, 23; Matt 5.8). Good News Bible renders when glorified as “in glory,” and Contemporary English Version has “in heaven.” These translations are not wrong, but omit any idea of the person being changed into a new kind of life. Good News Bible provides a good model for this verse, but we suggest changing “in glory” to “in a glorious new life.”
