And what they had done in the land of Spain to get control of the silver and gold mines there: In Greek this is something else that “Men told him [Judas] of” (verse 2). We may translate “He learned how they gained control of [or, captured] the silver and gold mines [or, the places where they mined/dug up silver and gold] in Spain.”
