21:2a So Ahab said to Naboth, “Give me your vineyard to use as a vegetable garden,

Ahab said to Naboth, “Give/Sell (sing) your vineyard to me. I want to use it as a vegetable garden
-or-

One day⌋ Ahab said to Naboth, “⌊I want/need⌋ to have/own your vineyard. ⌊I want⌋ to grow vegetables there.

21:2b since it is next to my palace.

because it is near my house/palace.

It is ⌊in a good/convenient place,⌋ close to my palace.

21:2a-b (reordered)

Ahab said to Naboth, “Your vineyard is close to my palace and is a good place/location for growing ⌊my⌋ vegetables. Let me have it.
-or-
Ahab said to Naboth, “Give/Sell me your vineyard. Since it is close to my house, it will make a good place for my vegetable garden.

21:2c I will give you a better vineyard in its place—

I will give you (sing) a better vineyard instead.
-or-

If you let me have/own it,⌋ I will let you have another vineyard. This vineyard will be one of great/greater value.

21:2d or if you prefer, I will give you its value in silver.”

Or, if you like/wish, I will pay you the full/fair price for your vineyard.”

But you can choose to receive the value of your vineyard in money/silver instead.”

21:2a-d

Ahab saw that Naboth’s vineyard was close to his palace and thought that it was a good place for his own vegetable garden. So he told Naboth to give/sell the vineyard to him. He offered to give Naboth a better vineyard in exchange. He told Naboth that if he wished/preferred he could have the full value of the land in money/silver instead.
