20:34a Ben-hadad said to him, “I will restore the cities my father took from your father;
Ben-Hadad said to Ahab, “The cities that my father took from your (sing) father, I will give back to you.

Then Ben-Hadad told Ahab, “I will let you have back the cities that my father took away from your (sing) father.
20:34b you may set up your own marketplaces in Damascus,
And you (sing) can make shopping streets/areas of your own in Damascus ⌊in Aram⌋,

You (sing) may ⌊tell your people to⌋ open bazaars in ⌊my city of⌋ Damascus.
20:34c as my father did in Samaria.”
just as my father made/did in Samaria ⌊in Israel⌋.”

This was what my father did in ⌊your (sing) city of⌋ Samaria.”
20:34b-c (reordered)
“My father had ⌊his people/merchants⌋ open/run market stalls in Samaria. So/And you (sing) can have ⌊your people/merchants⌋ open/run their shops/stalls in Damascus.”
20:34d “By this treaty I release you,” Ahab replied.
Then Ahab answered, “Based on that covenant/agreement, I will release you.”
-or-
Ahab replied, “With such a treaty/covenant, I will let you (sing) go free/home.”
20:34e So he made a treaty with him and sent him away.
So Ahab made the treaty/agreement with Ben-Hadad and released him.

So Ahab and Ben-Hadad made a treaty/covenant. Then Ahab let Ben-Hadad go ⌊free/home⌋.
