-or-
this message from Yahweh:
-or-
that Yahweh had spoken to him.

20:28c ‘Because the Arameans think the LORD is a god of the hills and not of the valleys,

‘The Arameans have said that I, Yahweh, am a god of mountains/hills but not a god of valleys.
-or-
“The Arameans say that I, Yahweh, am only a mountain god and that I have no power in/over the low areas.
-or-

Yahweh was displeased that⌋ the Arameans/Syrians thought that he/Yahweh was a god ⌊powerful⌋ in the mountains but ⌊not powerful⌋ in the valleys.

20:28d I will deliver all this great army into your hand.

-or-

Because of that,⌋ Yahweh/he was going to let Ahab overpower/conquer the whole horde of them.

20:28e Then you will know that I am the LORD.’”

Then you (plur) will know that I am Yahweh.’”
-or-
so that you (plur) will have no doubt that I am Yahweh.”
-or-

20:28d-e (reordered)

He will prove to you that he is ⌊indeed⌋ Yahweh by giving you victory over this vast army.”
