1:44a And with Solomon, the king has sent Zadok the priest, Nathan the prophet,

King David has sent the priest Zadok to be with him, along with the prophet Nathan

He has asked/told the priest Zadok and the prophet Nathan to go with Solomon,

1:44b and Benaiah son of Jehoiada, along with the Cherethites and Pelethites,

and Jehoiada’s son Benaiah, and ⌊his bodyguards⌋ the Kerethites and the Pelethites.
-or-
along with Benaiah son of Jehoiada and the Kerethite and Pelethite ⌊men/soldiers⌋ ⌊who guard the king⌋.

1:44c and they have set him on the king’s mule.

They have given Solomon the king’s very own mule to ride,

They have told/invited Solomon to ride on King David’s personal mule.
