1:36a “Amen,” replied Benaiah son of Jehoiada.

Then Benaiah the son of Jehoida replied/responded to the king. He said, “May it be so!

1:36b May the LORD, the God of my lord the king, so declare it.

May Yahweh the God of my lord and king confirm it.

Let this take place according to the command/will of Yahweh, the God whom you worship, Your Majesty.
