5:5a hand this man over to Satan

I want you to surrender/give that man to Satan
-or-
I order you to expel this man from your church/group, giving/putting him back into Satan’s control/kingdom.
-or-
Give this man to Satan: ⌊tell him he can no longer be part of your group/church⌋.

5:5b for the destruction of the flesh,

in order that his fleshly/corrupt nature may/will be destroyed
-or-
The reason you are to expel him from your group is so that what is fleshly/sinful in him will be brought to an end.

5:5c so that his spirit may be saved on the Day of the Lord.

and ⌊so⌋ his spirit will be saved on the day the Lord returns.
-or-
It is important that his sinful nature be destroyed in order that God may save him on the day the Lord comes to judge people.
